I Need An online Martial Arts Trainer?
I am going to begin training myself to do martial arts. I one day hope to be in action movies and do anything I can to make Martial Arts movies better. so i wan’t to start training but I do not have money…I Do have and excercise bike, Heavy punching bag, lots of room to train in (2 Car Garage), and weights well I Have like a curling bar with two weights on each end wich is good for me and thats all i have i know with this equipment i can really get my body well conditioned. so this is what i will need if anyone can help me out. 1. I Will need to be able to do the splits. 2. I will need to have a very tight looking body. 3. I will need to be able to do back flips. 4. I Must increase my speed.
these are to most essential things i will need to be able to do. Now i know this will all be hard and take lots of time but i have nothing but time and no Job so i can devote most of my day to my training I am 20 years old and am honestly ready to get serious about this im about 130 pounds and not very flexible so i am going to need to work hard at this I Know. So if there is anybody out there looking to train someone I Would really appreciate it. Just give me a set amount of instructions on what i should do everyday and for how long also i drink alot of coke im guessing im going to have to give that up =( it’s ok though this is more important I Do not do drugs and rarely drink so im all good on that so email me and we can talk this over more Thank you.
IF you were really serious about studying you would spend that free time getting a job and finding a school to train at instead of trying to get something for free (which online training is a joke done by people to scam others out of their money anyway).
Not to mention that 90% of the videos you see on youtube.com or other websites are done by mcdojo instructors who couldn’t do anything but a pretty kick or two.
Get a job. Find a good authentic dojo. TRAIN.

I don’t think an online trainer will be a good idea. You need a real flesh and blood trainer to stand in front of you and show you the move and correct you if you do it incorrectly.

Go to a unversity that specializes in movies.
I think Adam Sandler went to Harvard
Move to LA or NY and have pics sent to all the movie agents
and start getting work as an EXTRA,
that is the start

Its next to impossible to properly learn any MA over the internet, books, or dvds. U will succeed in learning sloppy forms and bad habits that will take u much longer to correct than to learn from scratch from a qualified instructor. Only a qualified instructor can correct ur mistakes and answer ur questions. What u should do is get a job to pay for proper training. Good luck

Wow! Just gave someone else the same advice – get on Utube plenty of "free" instruction on there, yes real life instructor is best but needs must and all that

If you can’t scare up a few extra bucks to take proper lessons, then you’re not willing to make the sacrifice to become good. You will need to do much more than the items you listed to get into martial arts movies. MUCH MORE. Most martial arts actors have a heavy dance and gymnastics background, so learning the splits and backflips doesn’t give you very much to go on.

umm first instruction as your online martial arts instructer is find a qaulified martial arts teacher. Second give up the dream of being a martial arts actor those type of movies are getting less popular and it is hard to become an actor in general. last but not least Do lots of streching

Hi, u sound like u really want this so if u can’t get a local club that’s cheap enough then try mastersken.com
I have trained with him for 13 yrs now and as long as u put the training in everything else will follow, (ie splits etc). U r best just sticking to water as anything fizzy will make u dizzy and u will feel sick.Try and give up alcohol altogether u will peak much quicker if u do.Loads of leg stretches first, try standing on one leg with the other resting on a surface above the hip and lock both legs and hold that is really important if u want to make the high kicks. If u need any more advice feel free 2 add me 2 ur contact list and i will go into this in more detail for u.Good Luck hope u get were u want to be! x

Doing the splits, being in shape, doing backflips, and running fast will in no way give you any edge when it comes time to defend yourself.
Although these are all great goals to have, martial arts boils down to fighting, staying safe, being aware, and taking control of a situation however and whenever the need arises.
For your posted goals, you will need to learn how to stretch properly and do this EVERY morning, night, and spare moment you have
You need to SLOWLY start changing your diet so that it’s an easier transition, SIMPLE and HEALTHY natural or "regular" foods really are best. I recommend you start with reducing the soda, until you cut it out, completely replacing it with water of course.
Speed is subjective in martial arts, it’s much better to be slow and accurate, than it is fast and sloppy. I just don’t see anyone becoming accurate without another body to practice on. But if you’re just talking about running speed, you can try burst sprinting. Run as HARD and as FAST as you can for as LONG as you can (it won’t be very long). This will help build explosive power in your legs, as opposed to marathon running which builds endurance.

I agree with Nho up there. Get passed yourself.
There’s no way that even a trained MA man has all the answers, so a new guy in the arts should definitely have some guidance. The idea that you could train yourself well is sheer arrogance.
Get a little job. Find a good school. Study well. Train hard.

How many weight plates,at what weight are they? You have an incline bench? This is for doing hammer curls(as the dumbbell sits crosswise/front to back),lift weight, bending at elbow as in a standard curl but keep palm toward your left/right for left hand. This will build the Brachioradialis and extensor carpi radialis longus forearm muscles.Another exercise is a grip machine(a solid round bar on top,a four sided steel frame with a round bar on top, bottom should be flat and about 2" wide with a piece crosswise centered and a 6" rod also centered for weight plates).Start with standard push-ups/pull-ups etc.Back exercises, bent-over rows/pull-downs/long pull for latissimus dorsi, upright rows(two ways:hands shoulder-width /close together) works deltoids and triceps/ trapezius.Incline/decline bench-presses. Many other exercises.Concentrate mostly on strength training, don’t try for big upper arms, they will be too heavy to obtain speed for punches. Where do you live? Are you near Indiana?
