this dude serious? i would lay him out with my rear cross

  • lionied2 says:

    Well, the average …
Well, the average would not throw a crazy punch like the one in this exaggerated video, it would be a straight to the face punch, and then they’d want to be fake boxers and start faking… But any punch can be parried…

    Absolutely!! …
Absolutely!! recently I’ve been putting a lot of focus on commitment and making sure I’m not being hesitant coming in. its easy to get in that habit because of course you don’t want to hurt your training partner, but if you hesitate and are pulling you strikes in training, you are gonna do just that come fight time. good comment. VERY important.

    i do agree with …
i do agree with what he says about “trapping” punches in a way… i think its better to focus on stuffing the punch. as if you time it when they throw and stuff it at the bicep to take to power out, but i REALLY doubt that particular technique with “trapping” his straight right like that will EVER work. regardless good teacher.

    humm is that before …
humm is that before or after the trapping? and how do you throw a kick with your hands over your head, since you are planning to trap the right hand? Unless you are a circus performer, I do not think I have much to worry about.

  • cammmafan09 says:

and once u pull up …
and once u pull up for your upper cut my left foot/shin will be smashing against your chin

  • hean8209 says:

    Quite right, the …
Quite right, the best way to defend yourself is to take out the assailants “computer” as fast as possible, to facilitate a safe escape.

A quick kick in the groin would work too ;)

Sparring is good to learn coordination and endurance,
and have a bit of fun, but it has no place in the world on the street.

  • greenthing85 says:

    get a hold of …
get a hold of yourself, an overhand right or left looks the same whether you throw it in a cave, or field, or a ring, the best counters for an overhand are several, a stiff jab comes to mind, if you want to follow what he is teaching you by all means go right ahead, just hope i am not the one throwing that overhand, because when you hands come up to “trap my overhand right, your chin will get the left uppercut.

  • cammmafan09 says:

    he’s not talking …
he’s not talking about trapping a right hand when your fighting in the ring or cage. he’s talking about if your trying to defend on the street dumd ass

  • greenthing85 says:

    expert village …
expert village lacks experts, if you can trap an overhand right then you could be the next UFC champ. in real life you are better off to step away from the punch or check it, try trapping it and your bound to trap it with your temple or chin .

  • AurumenK says:

    so you use cat …
so you use cat stance then eh? I use the snake style way of doing it way better and they always go down regardless of strength

  • Ti1301 says:

A MT trick is just …
A MT trick is just to hit on the inside of such a wide swing. If he had done that he would have made direct contact to the guys face, then allowing him to do more. Intercepting it like that was too cumbersome compared to hitting inside the wide arm.
