Is MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) the same as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or different?
Please state differences (if there are any) and the similarities. A website or a video would certainly help out.
Despite popular belief MMA is not a style, but a sport fighting competition and training methodology that allows two trained fighters to battle under a set of rules using any number of techniques from the stand-up striking styles to clinching, throwing and finally groundfighting styles.
As such, fighters in MMA train in striking and groundfighting techniques pulled from a number of disciplines – Brazilian Jiujitsu being one of them.
